Every time Firefox sends an update my credit card web site loses my identity. Can this be fixed?

For security purposes, the website for my credit card information uses information from the Firefox browser to identify my computer. Every time Firefox sends an update, that identification is lost and I have to obtain an identity code and re-access my credit card website. This is a pain in the butt. Is there any option in Firefox that I can set to keep Firefox from losing the identity?
