What I want to do is create my own home page on my system drive – that works and has always worked – thank you. However, I also want my “new tab” page to simply be this same page. This ought to be easy, but somehow is a challenge for browsers to get it right. The reason given is that this is in some fashion about security which is strange because the home page itself has not also been eliminated. The real reason is that a “custom” page generated by the browser company provides a good place to stick a few ads and to gather personal information. You can get various add-ons that have made this possible in the past, but once again the latest version of that is failing.

Can we stop the silly and give us a usable “new tab” is home page option?
