It sounds like you are getting these ads on websites that are using the Google ad network. Unfortunately, Google decides what ads are shown when a website is connected to their ad network.

You can try changing something the settings described in the Control the ads you see page on the Google support website.

You can also try pressing the little close button in the top-left corner of the ad. I don't think Google displays that ad again if you select to close it. According to the Block certain ads page from the Google support website, there should also be a Stop seeing this ad option if you press the little close button.

Aside from that, the only other thing I can suggest is maybe installing an ad block add-on on your browser to stop all ads from displaying.
