The settings for my 3 email have appeared the same. This has been the case for a few months now. I have had 3 crashes of Thunderbird recently. Each time I have filled out the report with a mention of my 'settings' issue, without any response. Can you please advise on this. Thank you Roger Hall

Just grab the bottom right corner of the dialog with your mouse and stretch it out and down. You might want to move the dialog before you start as it's location on screen might mean you will run out of screen before you get it big enough to see what you want. This happens to me occasionally and I have not idea why. but the size just drags out to where I can do what I want.

the crash reporter is to provide information about what you were doing immediately prior to the crash to those trying to fix it get additional information. Adding irrelevancies at that point is less than helpful to them and not going to be helpful to you at all.

Now what is it about the account setting appearing the same that is a problem? Server settings for the same mail provider will always look the same. It is only user names and passwords that change.

Thank you Matt. The crash report is not connected to my issue......To explain.......I have an issue with my email account settings......I mentioned this in 3 crash reports, hoping that my issue would be referred to someone like yourself as I was not sure as to how I could get help, 'help' did not seem very easy to obtain.

Regarding irrelevancies, I understand what you say, however my contact via the report was only as stated above, in a hope of getting a referral through to someone who could help with my issue and this did not happen. I am grateful that I have finally been able to contact you and hopefully resolve my issue.

Now.... the issue. I have 3 email accounts with two providers. Topmail, one account and two accounts with mail.com. (earlier I had two Topmail accounts and reduced this to one as there was conflict between them)

All three accounts are in my Thunderbird application. Before I had any issue, when I selected any of the three accounts and selected 'settings' the settings for each account was completely accessible. Some months ago, something changed. Now when any of the three accounts are selected and 'settings' is selected, they all show the same & this is not helpful in any way.

I have tried to attach a screen recording (mp4) which shows what I am going on about but this format seems unacceptable. Can you advise on this please, I could put the file on Dropbox & send you the link if this would work. ........Just got a solution........I have been able to add three jpg. screenshots, now png.? on your system.

Your help is appreciated and I trust that you now understand my issues.

Regards Roger Hall

Thank you Matt.

Like many software issues, the answer is often very simple.

Great result
