error when trying to send emails "mail box unavalable"
I shall shortly be closing my email account with talktalk and have now got a new email with mail.com but when I send emails from mail.com I get attached error message. I get the same each time I try and send even though the email addresses are correct. I can however still send from my talktalk account. Any help please James

So can anyone tell me how to stop this happening or am I stuck with it so it just annoys the hell out of me until I actually have to dump Thunderbird altogether? James
Why don't you ask the people who own and operate the server, that would be talk talk, what exactly the error message their server is issuing means. You wasting time asking other users who are not talk talk customers to guess. Ask those issuing the message what it means and then come back and inform the rest of us that is means.
For all I know the operator might have just unplugged it to plug in the kettle for the morning coffee. You are not the only one in the dark. All Thunderbird knows is Talk Talk said it was unavailable.
My personal guess is there is a problem with the server clustering and load balancing. Not something the script readers that answer the phone would ever be made aware of. But it might be as simple as they have decided to not allow you to connect to the talk talk mail server from a wifi hotspot.
