Running version 68.1.1 I tired deleting the session.json file but it worked once but then it reverted back to default starting view time is midnight. Now if I close the calendar without exiting Thunderbird, the calendar view opens to the last view prior to closing. But if I exit out of Thunderbird and restart is reverts back to the midnight beginning time.

Perhaps try setting the appropriate options

Sorry Matt - That's the first thing I checked. This is a bug that began in version 68.0

If rebuilding session.json doesn't preserve the view, maybe it will help to rebuild the layout, which is stored in xulstore.json. Delete or rename the file from the profile folder, while TB is closed. This will apply the default layout, so you may have to redo any custom controls or toolbars.

Thanks for the suggestion. However that did not work.

Do you use anything like CCleaner to clean up temp files etc? If yes, strongly suggest you access CCleaner and make all Thunderbird folders exempt from scanning as it can cause all kinds of havoc deleting necessary files.

This issue doesn't just occur when exiting/restarting Thunderbird. This issue occurs tabbing between the Calendar and Inbox tabs. Every time you go back to the Calendar the day starts at midnight. It's pretty annoying to have to scroll the calendar to get back to 8am to actually show the day every time you toggle back to the Calendar tab.
