How do I go about sending a reply to or forward messages?
I'm 71 y/o and consider myself pretty savvy about most things on a computer, but this new Thunderbird has me stumped. I can get the message I want to reply to, along with my added response, but nowhere do I see a 'send' button or anything else associated with what I get when I read 'received' messages. Can't seem to be able to forward messages either. "System Restore" will not get me back to the Thunderbird I love so well. Is there any hope for me? Thank you.

Maybe you are missing the toolbars in the Write window. Open a Write window. Press the alt key if the Menu Bar is missing too. From the Menu Bar select View-toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on. The Send button is on the Composition toolbar.
I have the Menu Bar. I alt clicked and the Mail tool bar is activated. When I click on the "Write" button, it goes to another screen to write, but there is still no "Send" button in the toolbar, just a line that states: Write, the subject matter, then To: etc. etc. I would just like to have the "OLD" Mozilla back so I can do as I did. Need more help, maybe a lot more help. (BLUSH!!!)
I guess you missed the step to OPEN A WRITE WINDOW. The Mail toolbar is in the mail window and using those toolbars to try and do anything in a Write window works about as well as turning on the bedroom light switch and expecting the kitchen lights to come on.
