why does "browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite" get deleted?

since about 2 months the savepersite gets removed from my about:config every time i restart my pc (thus daily) and i have to manually insert it again just to use ff normally like before

Do you lose other prefs or is only that specific pref removed/reset?

Do you have enabled "Resist Fingerprinting" if you check this pref on the about:config page in case this makes a difference?

  • privacy.resistFingerprinting = false

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
