firefox won't load; profile manager doesn't load either
My Firefox stopped opening. I tried entering the profile manager, but it says it is not available. Firefox is still shown in my installed programs. What's my next step?

Try this, though though was fixed in Firefox some time ago:
Running linux?
goto home folder, show hidden files, then the path is:
.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxxxx.default/ where xxxxxxxx is some random chars
look for parent.lock and delete.
Running Windows?
goto %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
open xxxxxxxxxx.default/ where xxxxxxxx is some random chars
look for parent.lock and delete.
There was no parent.lock file in the directory. What is the next step?
Hi, please try this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 60.0.1 with a Full Version Installer
(yes is possible there are other issues and a new Profile may have to be created but can rescue some of the info from it)
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
HI, please see if there is a folder on your Desktop called Old FirefoxProfile Will be needed if it is there.
