When I type monzilla.org into the address bar, I am redirected to an ad clearing house, first here, (http://monzilla.org/jr.php?gz=vuEVQekYowxplxNVSGvn5rs4EOU7DcHK0AgGVT%2FzUNZPpI8EihCcyL2l%2FS7tc5GSUeFqq9YAUv2chQ8xckckfbJqNQ 2zXYeLnuCrHL6bDu%2FPiNWbTM19ksz9PP99YzL5RTOn0a%2BMe%2FVpuxOsy1Boxfv%2B%2FoN0YYPmVLM76bTKjfkYbY3hBG%2B%2B6u3WmR7%2BC3MVDT1oMdY7o2nxSoQvoUsjDKNNbZ5u0XX1hX0FCoy0Zpv430Fwxw6HN%2BYOirlOqSWNM5tU1G5fkohbQTUi4q2dYIO9kZF3yngD6GIoqlpFHVhFroKztK3%2BA7ELGZnWBbQnsrK5TT%2BSmYxtqYcBpJQQhiCRN%2Fb%2By4tYXQgmIO5VPBTbpG%2B5ExbiQZN5Mr5vku6xIPApweecfUgC4jQLXGTpr31uWJQT5DKE0%2FbWMfclOuKmjjUy%2B0KHX1uuPGSFswdK9XH6piehI7%2BH78FifYUPN5OveE39ZRynkr%2Fdfp95BxGhjZKqQfHEas4WgyUA6CQcwXTGbg18B%2BUzeTFsDWNu%2FJTdhFHLihVFQpequU04PsgmHVeIw8gPaFh%2FekXqwi%2F9amJWqlDno%2BE%3D&vs=1024:611&ds=1024:768&sl=-4:-4&os=f&nos=f), then here (*://289694756.ame.ampverified.com/*). If I reloaded monzilla.org again the same ting would happen. If I reloaded a third time, then a page named click validator would intercept and with the message "looks like you are clicking on alot of ads today. Are you really doing this?

If I go to monzilla through a search engine, I go to monzilla.org, but with additional switches, like https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ or some other variant, and things go well. I have tried entering https://monzilla.org and get "unable to load page." Reading through the issues on the support page, making sure I do not have a bookmark with monzilla as a label, I created the https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ bookmark with a keyword of mon as suggested, and now I go to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ directly. So this is a solution, but I am wondering if something more is going on, maybe a trojan or whatnot.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. CB

I guess why are you going to Monzila.org it has nothing to do with Mozilla.org/Firefox.com and you want to do what with this information you left ? There has been no laws broken. There is nothing to do with Mozilla unless their pages are misrepresenting them selves as Mozilla. If that is the case then yes is a crime.

Yes might want to do Please use more than 1 scanner as each uses diff tech : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware Save your Report and google each before deleting anything as do not want to delete something you need, If need help : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/9573-im-infected-what-do-i-do-now/ Post in only 1 forum, then wait.

Btw Firefox 52.5.0 ESR is the current update for 52 ESR and 52.8.0 esr will likely be that last major update in May 2018 that will run on the old EOL WinXP.

but 52.5.0 ESR is secure. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

Thanks Guys,

James, thanks for pointing out the typo. I have loaded 52.3 and 52.5 several times attempting to correct this non-existent issue, and never caught the "N." I truly feel like a dumbass (DA). I will go to a local elementary school and see if they have any remedial "How to double check web address spelling" classes. I mean how dumb can I get! This will be a good laugh for anyone reading this. I really should change my username to DA as well!

PK, spot on! Thanks for all the good info. Now I can stop removing and loading Firefox and get back to my job search after I check my resume for speeling errors again..., and update one last time to FF 52.5.0.

Thanks again guys! for your speedy response. CB, I mean DA.
