I used to be able to save my address book to a .csv file on my Windows 7, and then importit into my GMAIL contacts account. Trying to import the file, all I get is a blank page even though the csv file is legitimate. Is there a fix to this problem?

Gmail accepts csv or vCard contacts files. In Address Book, select an address book, then Tools/Export, select Save as type: vCard (vcf). In Gmail, open Contact Manager, More, Import... and select the vcf file.

Your original question struck me as more an issue with Gmail than with Thunderbird. If you have trouble importing a CSV file into Gmail then I'd have thought a Gmail forum would be more a appropriate place to ask.

Pictures...

You got a picture, probably a jpeg. You incorporated that into a document then converted that to a pdf. Having discovered that this forum doesn't support pdf you converted that to a jpeg.

So next time just upload the first jpeg and skip all the unnecessary conversions. And I'd suggestthat png is very much better suited to these images than jpeg. You don't get that smudging effect.

You choose some very cryptic names for your accounts and address books.

If a particular address book is synchronised to Google Contacts then that address book will appear in both Thunderbird and Google Contacts. If you want a Contact to appear in both places then that is the appropriate address book to add it to. Entries placed in the Personal Address Book will not appear in the Google Contacts address book.

Zenos, tks for reply but you misunderstood a little. I scanned my reply to Matt as I had no way of showing the image. the scanner used a pdf format. Since there is no way to add pdf, I had to convert it to a JPG.

I also simply wanted to know which address book to add a new address in so it can be synched to GMAIL.
