When receiving email i often get the following add security exception (I'm uploading an image of the window):

Location: imap.gmail.com:993 Confirming the exception does not stop the next exception from poping up. This probably occurs for each email I receive. This problem has been occurring for a couple of weeks.

When I send emails I get the following error message Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.comcast.net for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again

A security exception window also pops up with the location smtp.comcast.net:465 (see attached picture). This also has been occurring on & off for a couple of weeks.

Any suggestions on how to fix this.? I tried reinstalling some of my email accounts to no effect.

I have seen this with a bit defender user today and and avast users in the past. Basically you have to wrangle the anti virus to allow SSL to work in a crippled manner. I suggest you get an anti virus that does not compromise security.

If you click the View button in that dialog and look at the "Issued by" section of the dialog, does it point to any known local software product?

The view button lists issued to google & issued by bitdefender (see screenshot).
