Does that happen with Firefox safe mode? If not, could be an extension acting up.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Restarted---and so far symptoms went away---Did not even have to re boot firefox----Fintarry and Fred mc d

Fred--all symptoms returned---working in safe mode now---and all is wacko---with c-d drawer// followed suggestions and re-freshed firefox As I wrote this----drawer opened and closed 10 times Did yesterdays microsoft update as well--malicious software removal tool for march...........
thanks for your efforts----Can't leave system on---or it will drive me nuts and wear out the drawer...........
