lost all bookmarks with latest Firefox 34.05 update
My bookmarks have been fine for years. And I have many. They're now ALL gone!!!
After I upgraded to latest Firefox 34.0.5 , the bookmarks bar is empty and so is the list of dates Firefox upgrades were applied. Where have they gone, why is Firefox no longer showing them and how do I recover them?
With the tremendous problems FIrefox continually has to provide updates that do actually work, it seems that Firefox badly need a "back out upgrade" option so you can always revert to the previous version... Please implement ASAP.
I'm using Firefox on My Snow Leopard 10.6.8 Mac. I have had Firefox for years and recently had to install and use your special option to keep Firefox looking the way it always has looked and I'm perfectly happy with. I'm now using latest Classic Theme Restorer 1.2.7 which installed itself as I restarted.

The page : Recover lost or missing Bookmarks , None of the entries are applicable.
In the page : Restoring from backups , That process worked. It enabled me to recover from a backup dated 2014/12/08 which is pretty recent.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
More importantly, as requested, please urgently add a facility to backout the latest update so we can revert to what was working before the latest update was installed...
As a separate issue, has Firefox's ability to consistently open a clicked link been restored yet. For some time - many weeks - this has been working intermittently. I've had to nominate Safari as my default browser since Firefox has become so unreliable...

the other problem (links not opening) sounds like it may be caused by an addon - can you test if it's reproducible if you start firefox in safemode?

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
