Accedently deleted bookmarks with Sync

Hi, I recently added a new computer (Windows 7) to my Firefox Sync. With out realizing I accidentally set it to sync its book marks to the my other computers, as it was a fresh install of FireFox it has nothing but the default ones and a couple as I set it up. I have now lost a few hundred bookmarks off my main machine, is there a way to retrieve them or will I have to try and manually recreate it all? Thanks,

hello sonuslux, firefox should automatically create backups of your bookmarks on your main machine (that happens independent of your usage of sync). please see if you can restore them: Restore bookmarks from backup

would this also work if updating bookmarks via sync. my main machine is connected to sync. I have another computer and when I connected it to sync to update the bookmarks, all the bookmarks in the sync file and my main computer were deleted except for the bookmarks on the other computer. would trying to use a restore file while connected to sync restore the sync file and update the other machine?
