Why i can't restore my bookmarks?
I made a backup of my bookmarks and saved the file on my computer, then reinstalled Firefox and tried to restore these bookmarks, but they do not appear in the Bookmarks menu. I'm using the 31.0 version of Firefox. Can you help me find a solution to this problem?

How did you save your bookmarks? What type of file / folder? How did you try to restore them?
I entered the bookmarks menu, I selected "Show all bookmarks", then "Import and create backup" and finally "Backup ...". The file created was "bookmarks-2014-08-06.json" which I saved on the desktop. To restore this file, I went back to the bookmarks menu, and I selected "Show all bookmarks", then "Import and create backup”. Next, I choose “Restore” and then “Choose file…”.
Can't you select the JSON backup if you browse to the folder where you have saved the backup?
What reason did you had to reinstall Firefox?
Did you previously had problems with the bookmarks?
I can select de json backup file, but the bookmarks don't appear in the bookmarks menu. It's as if the file was empty.
I had to reinstall Firefox, because installing another application has changed the homepage and the search engine of Firefox, and only with the reinstallation of Firefox I could get back to my homepage and search engine.
I never had problems with bookmarks until today.
Look at the file sizes in the backup folder. Did you use the largest one?
Did you try to delete the current places.sqlite file in case there is a problem with the current file?
Can i simply move or copy the bookmarks.json file to it's original location?
