It's been way over 1 year since i installed my OS and back then, firefox was still using the old sync. Yesterday i had to reinstall my OS (I was using Win7 Ultimate and now i'm using Win7 Home Pre). First thing i realized after installing firefox was that my Firefox Sync Key was not usable anymore. After searching, i reinstalled firefox 23.0.1 and added the Sync Key but in history i only have the past 2 months, in history library i have all months up to Older than 6 months but when i click any of them from the left pane, in the right pane i only have the past 2 months (check screenshots). That Sync Key was created in march 2011 and back then i was using Linux, i installed different distributions and in the end Windows and everything was saved in the cloud with sync and always syncing completely to new install. In firefox 23.0.1 if i click to reset sync and delete all local files and replace them with sync data and it shows that there will be 994 history entries (i am sure that in over 3 years i should have more then 994) removed but when i check history i have ~200. I tried upgrading to new sync, unlinking device and upgrading firefox but history still shows just the past 2 months. Screenshots album: http://imgur.com/a/PPvgY

If older visit history isn't showing then it is likely that it is lost and no longer available.

Note that you only see the most recent visit of a link in the Library, so once you click a link then it shows in the Today folder and in older folders only as visited today.

You can't backup or export history in the Library like you can with the bookmarks. You can drag or copy/paste history to a bookmarks folder to have them available more reliably.

So there's no way to get the lost history back?
