Possibly there was an auto update of MOZILLA FIREFOX on our DELL LAPTOP (Windows 11). Now, we cannot get a Mozilla window to open - due to error message:

XUL Runner Error: Platform version '118.0.1' is not compatible with minVersion >= 118.0 maxVersion <=118.0

Can someone please help us get back to a previous version of Mozilla Fire. Perhaps it is a Windows error. I have no way of knowing. Please help me. My email is: [removed email from public] Thank you.

I can sign into YouTube ok, and the pictures of the video's are ok, but whatever I try to watch I get a green screen and just the video sound? It started happening yesterday. I am getting fed up with YouTube and the issues it has with Firefox. I'm having to use Microsoft Edge to watch videos. I've done the 3 resets it says on the support page, but still have the issue. I have multiple monitors and most often have Firefox windows open on each. Lately, I've been noticing that the Desktop Window Manager process is consuming a huge amount of RAM. At the same time, consumption completely disappears with the closing of Firefox windows. OS: Windows 11 (Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.22621.1928]). Firefox: 115.0.1 (64-bit) Screen setup: 1 - 3840 x 2560 with 200% scale, 2 - 1920 x 1080 with 100% scale.

I am using Firefox 115.3 on Debian 12.1. I have numerous tasks which require the use of my web browser and have allocated a different virtual desktop for each. This means that my browser session typically has several dozen tabs open in numerous windows at one time. Under normal circumstances, this works just fine (and is a testament to the engineering that has gone into this browser).

My issue is that Firefox renders my machine virtually unusable for a few minutes each time I restart my desktop session due to focus stealing. When I open the browser, several dozen windows pop up (as expected) and relocate to their correct virtual desktops (as expected); however, as the windows begin to load, the most recently active Firefox window steals focus repeatedly. If I am, for instance, in the process of typing my password into my desktop e-mail client, a Firefox window may steal focus from the password dialog. In practice, this focus steal happens once every few seconds for several minutes.

I would prefer that Firefox would not steal focus while restoring a session. Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting this issue?

My Firefox keeps crashing every time I copy and past something from Excel and try to go to Firefox, it immediately goes gray and the only option that works is restarting it and waiting does nothing (which means I constantly relog back into to all of my accounts that I am using for job searches). It has been many weeks since this started happening and auto updates have not corrected anything. I've submitted the crash reports just now. Let me know what can fix this. Thanks!

Up through Monday, 10-16-2023, I could play Amazon Prime Videos. As of Tuesday, 10-17, I no longer can. I can do this on other browsers, e.g. Chrome and Safari. Can this be fixed or do I need to stop using Firefox?

Firefox just turns into a black screen and becomes unusable. It has been happening for a long time now and i have checked RAM and CPU usage and they are all fine, as I explored potential causes.

I will be using firefox and it just turns all black on all screens and is completely unusable. To use it again I have to force close all windows and reopen it and it works again.

The videos take a long time to play. I upgraded my system recently and was removing and reinstalling audio-related utilities with DNF.

Our organization recently upgraded everyone from standard Firefox to Firefox ESR 115

Several users continually get the following error:

Users are getting the error even after a new profile has been created.

We have tried uninstalling Firefox both through the Control Panel and using IO Bit uninstaller but the issue persists.

All users are running Windows 10 22H2 64 Bit

Whenever I click on this link, https://www.onlineviolintutor.com/lessons-1-10-resources, I get the below error message.

"Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.onlineviolintutor.com. Peer received a valid certificate, but access was denied. Error code: SSL_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED_ALERT"

I tried on several different browsers and always get the same error message. I'm trying to access this website link so I can download one page of sheet music.

Can you help me figure out what's going wrong?

right click menu copy not clickable,cant copy but when I hit ctrl + c and copy something first then i can copy within the right menu fine with the same site, and no this is not a site issue chromium works just fine.

I'm curious if there was a recent change in Firefox for macOS that started marking items copied from private windows as "concealed"?

I've been using Firefox for quite some time and last week started noticing that my clipboard history app, Alfred, was no longer storing anything I copied out of private windows.

Initially I reached out to Alfred and they suggested this was on Firefox's end:

Upon further investigation, I can see that Firefox intentionally marks its clipboard data as Concealed in order to protect searches done in a private window.

If this is true, can I turn this off somehow? It really breaks my workflow and am unfortunately stuck using Chrome at the moment.

For about one month (June, 2023) or more, updated Firefox for Windows 10 cannot play YouTube videos or videos on other website without being in Troubleshoot mode. Google Chrome has no problem with the same videos, and Firefox for Android also plays them. All help suggestions have been followed, including Refreshing Firefox, disabling some and all hardware acceleration, etc. Troubleshoot mode does not identify what was disabled (themes, extensions, etc.), but there are very few of such anyway, and Refresh did not resolve the issue. VPN was also disabled to see if that made any difference, but it did not. When the videos are attempted, the audio and progress bar work, but video is black. Scrolling with the progress bar reveals all images from the video one at a time, but PLAY does not enable the video, just audio.

I've been attempting to use FIDO2 w/ PIN support to log into Okta. This occurs with a pre-registered security key (Yubikey 5C NFC on most recent firmware) that has a PIN already configured. This key works on all other browsers and devices without trouble. Firefox is unresponsive to Yubikey interaction after the notice "Touch your security key to continue with <company>.okta.com" and will eventually time out if I do not cancel.

On the other hand, I can register a new security key on Okta through Firefox on this device. When I go through the registration workflow, Firefox is responsive to all interactions, allowing me to enter my PIN and complete registration.

I have been able to replicate this issue on other computers and with a different user / security key.

playing video on YouTube is sometimes choppy

Most of the videos I watch on Youtube play normally, without any problems, but some play choppy, as if they lag, this is very rare on YouTube, for example, a couple of days ago I opened a video, it's choppy, and now I opened it, it's going fine, when I open a private window and go to a very well-known site, all videos without exception lag

I am using Firefox on windows 11 I am facing a issue of slowness in Firefox every website takes at least 10 seconds to show up the browser just loads the webpage for a long time before showing any content I thought it was a DNS issue but the same issue is not coming in any chromium browser. I have reinstalled my browser, installed different Firefox versions including (beta,nightly) but the issue still persists.

Please let me know what I can I do to resolve this.
