Firefox must've updated because this worked fine yesterday(7/11/24) but now I get this error when I try to access Google's main page.

Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to google.com because this website requires a secure connection.

What can you do about it? google.com has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site. The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. If you are on a corporate network or using antivirus software, you can reach out to the support teams for assistance. You can also notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

The latest Firefox update has made it impossible for me to log into https://www.discover.com/ I consistently receive the following error message: "Your account cannot currently be accessed. Outdated browsers can expose your computer to security risks. To get the best experience on Discover.com, you may need to update your browser to the latest version and try again. For questions, please contact us at 1-800-347-7769. We're always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

Pop up blocker in the address bar has been manually turned off and antivirus VPN has been manually turned off. Discover has told me the problem is with the browser not their website. I can access the account via one of the less secure browsers (edge) but am not comfortable with that company and would prefer this glitch being fixed if possible. Firefox info is version 128.0 and it automatically updated earlier this week. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend. Laurie

HDR videos (specifically smpte2084 (PQ) / bt2020 videos) on youtube don't show correctly since last few updates of firefox on mac M1 & M2 sonoma 14.5. Firefox shows overly bright (almost whitewashed) videos, seems like something changed either with MacOS or firefox in last few updates. Firefox was working fine on older MacOS last 2 years with HDR videos.

Here is a link to test this problem on Mac, Safari shows the same video correctly in HDR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s52wB4lKLeo

Kindly fix this problem soon.

Problem loading images on Home Depot website. It happens when you want detailed images of a product. This is not just one linux distribution. Its many of them. In the case of Ubuntu same problem with Snap version. Whether .deb or Snap doesn't matter.

I've got a test machine with 10 ssd's in it. I switched over to Ubuntu 24.04 that I installed/configured several months ago. Before updating I checked Firefox. It was version 125. No problems with Home Depot. Updated system. Firefox updated to 128.0. Home Depot wouldn't load images anymore. Did all the usual stuff like disabling a couple of extensions. There are only two. Adblock Plus and Weather. Other than that no changes to Firefox that would be a problem.

I've got Google Chrome installed on these machines too. Home Depot no problem. Images of product load and display fine.

I don't order much on Home Depot so using Google Chrome is not a problem for me. But it is annoying and I know I'm not the only one. Seen it posted in a few forums with no resolution. Also, I have not had any problems with Amazon or Lowes website. They are similar in that they display detailed images of each product. I'm not implying that Home Depot is the only one. Just that its the only one I have discovered. If I recall correctly 127.x may have been where it started. The general images of many products don't seem to be a problem.

Thanks, Gerald

Can you please assist with issues that I am experiencing with LinkedIn not loading on Firefox? I have attached four examples, and summarised following. LinkedIn is working when accessing by Edge: on the same laptop, or by another computer. A summary of the four examples follows: 1. Another user’s feed not loading, 2. Group feed not loading, 3. My profile page not loading, and 4. Group feed not loading. The only control that relatively works is regular refreshing, though this is inconsistent, and is generally ineffective e.g. my feed may only be for a couple of: minutes, or hours; despite many refreshes, instead of > six hours with confidence by scrolling. The issue has been occurring for the previous four days, and other users are apparently experiencing similar, refer following. I unsuccessfully trailed the following: 1. Various minor setting modifications according to historical posts - I cannot recall all of the specifics, 2. Clear cache etc, and DNS flush, 3. Log in/out/restart, and 4. New profile.

I speculate may be a LinkedIn "bot" control feature, and my use appears like a "bot" - though I do not use any automated features. The justification for the “bot” speculation is the new profile apparently worked, prior to commencing my normal use - opening multiple tabs with LinkedIn, though this may be a coincidence. I also speculate that if was a "bot" control feature, LinkedIn would restrict my account, though is inconsistent with using by Edge.

The following may also be coincidental, though I have observed that emails in my Outlook webmail are slow to load, and occasionally require refreshing to read etc.

When I try to access an http:// site, the link is upgraded to https:// regardless of this setting.

This broke after a recent update to the browser. I cannot specifically say which upgrade, but it worked a month ago, now it doesn't anymore.

It may be worth noting that this broke in Brave (based on Chromium) at the same time.

Hi all 👋 I'm using the Universal Credit website - https://www.universal-credit.service.gov.uk When I receive a message, sometimes there's a radio button to "Reply", which initially opens in the center of the page as normal, but as soon as I place the cursor in the box, it shoves it off to the side and shrinks it. This has been going on for a while, but as I found work for the last 6 months, I haven't been interacting with the site. I had to reply this morning and had the same issue, so I thought to try opening it in Chrome and had no such issue.

Before I go down the Nuclear route with the "Refresh" option, as I have enough on my plate already, does anyone understand this issue and have any idea for a fix for me, please?

Hi! I seem to be having an issue with my browser. Every now and then, blue squares will partially or completely replace the icons on my toolbar an search bar, and disappear on its own after a while.

For reference, I currently have several tabs open (13) on a split screen, but only the icons on de left window are affected by this. This started happening this month, prior to this I was able to have multiple tabs open on a split screen without issue.

I'll attach 2 images so you can see what I mean.

I appreciate any advice I get to fix this.

27 July 2024

From [email address] And [email address]

This is not easy to put into words, because it has been going on for weeks. Is it that Firefox needs to now make sure Firefox Servers always recognise www.change.org and so to automatically clear the way for our www.proton.me email providers to use Firefox Search engine to always reach change.org, which we prefer to use Firefox as freedom of speech fighters, because of Google is playing secret censorship and ambushing games worldwide, because it Google www carrier monopoly to secretly play with us or is the trouble we have now for Google to ambush us repeatedly so Google can to take us away from using free Firefox to only Google search engines?.

The problem and proof it is so is that:

We have 2 petitions on www.change.org. Then for weeks we, and others we know and met in the streets to sign our petitions, have been having problems to sign and or confirm the petitions have been signed and confirmed back to them and us from our Civil rights Petition agents Change.org. As last resort Change.org lately told to try use to Google Chrome, instead of Firefox that we prefer to use and support, then we may get pass the error message that’s blocking our supporters from our list. We installed Google Chrome and other non Google Search Engines like Duck Duck Go and we still get the same blocks, so we must be losing Signatures and Petition Supporters of our Petitions and time. We suspect Google is deliberately ambushing us to force us to leave Firefox Search Engine. Google is the firm that www.Change.org use to run their Petitions sites. The staff at Change do not know what Google has been secretly doing in ambushing people who do not use or want Google Chrome etc to sign up to our petitions and ambushing our Proton.me private email when we use our Proton.me emails via Firefox.

The problem we have for weeks now, severely now affecting our 2 Petitions counts is that: After people sign our petitions on change, change.org sends automatically an email to the petitions signers for the signer to click a link to prove they really signed up to my petitions on change. When they click and are authenticated Change.org then send us a confirmation email and their names appear our petition lists, for us to click to thank them and ask them to share our petitions, and sent the singers petition updates via change.org.

Some friends, and people we go to sign our petition, using Firefox search engine, or other different none Google controlled search engines, are constantly having trouble for weeks to access to song up or to get the confirmation email from change.org to work at all, and some cannot even get the confirming email at all if they are using such as www.Proton.me email system no matter how many times they sign up to our petitions or click the said confirming email back to Change.org.

The error that keep coming up says the address at www.change.org is not recognised when they received the email from chnage.org to simply click the link to confirm they signed our petitions, and we even sent the message to change.org and they keep saying nothing wrong with the link sent us or to our petitions supporters, for some weeks now, until some of our petition supporters have not bothered to continue to try or sign up afresh after we meet them in the streets etc, so they are automatically deleted from our petitions list after 14 days which is not fair to us nor to change.org staff that take a voluntary fee to run the change.org petition site so they the staff would not block petitions' supporters, while Google their agent may block supporters if Google do not like our petitions.

Some people we know get the link via invitation from us or from change.org after finding our petitions themselves or via QR Code to sign up, and when they do get chnage.org email to click a link to activate back to change.org that they did sign our petitions. But now of late for week clicking the link have repeatedly resulted the same error saying the link from chanage.org is not recognised, repeatedly as if blocked by Firefox from reaching chnage.org servers, and then our private email with Proton.me, and other supporters at same www.proton.me, got a message back from Proton.me that said it seems that the error is a fault with Firefox search engine we use; while some that clicked from their Proton.me email reply box says they also then used Goggle.com or Chrome and have the same error message blocking their confirmation email reply back to change.org, so that now we and they using Firefox and Proton.me cannot get past the said error message to get change.org to automatically confirm their signed to our Petition as they are not appearing on the list of our Petitions' Support signature list, supposed to be confirmed on change, after they signed up to our change.org petitions.

We have contacted change.org to see if it’s their sent our to us and signers links and they said no, and said they tested it and said they try Google Chrome and it works, because Change.org and most of their Change.org users use Google Chrome, and then we did install and tried Google Chrome and it is still giving us the change.org page cannot recognised errors, so it cannot be Firefox's fault, and we installed Firefox again and it still did not work, and we installed other no Google Controlled Search engines like DUCK Duck Go and we still get the same error message.

Please check you Firefox servers to make sure it is not Firefox fault we keep getting the error - change.org is not recogniezed, so page is blocked from our proton.me email box via Firefox we prefer as our default search engine.

Is it that Firefox needs to now make sure Firefox Servers always recognise www.change.org and so to automatically clear the way for our www.proton.me email providers to use Firefox Search engine to always reach change.org, which we prefer to use Firefox as freedom of speech fighters, because of Google is playing censorship games worldwide because it has www carrier monopoly to secretly play with us or is the trouble we have now for Google to ambush us repeatedly so Google can to take us away from using free Firefox to only Google search engines?.

Yours sincerely
