I'm trying to troubleshoot why firefox isn't connecting to my DNS over HTTPS instance running adguard home. Every other device (including another laptop) is able to set the DNS over HTTPS and connect successfully - but my desktop PC instance gets NS_ERROR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. Despite multiple reboots, ipconfig /flushdns, release/renew, etc...

Even my android phone is able to connect to it using the "private dns" feature (uses port 853 instead of 443).

I've been able to verify https access to the DNS server and it's querying successfully. It's just this one instance it won't connect.

I used Firefox Developer Edition and yesterday saw that a new extension released for using Chrome web api to search and duckduckgo as one and had to test it "DuckDuck Chrome"... I have since had keneral level drivers registered, IP addres ls directly connecting, every one of my files scanned and index and still I'm getting logs for connections from the same IP's that were using kernal calls to bypass me seeing whats going on... at one point they did a lernal call and changed the requested package power.

There were enough things ran from 5am pst today till 4pm pst today I have exporting the log file for multiple hours and it only has a tray icon telling me it's still creating it as the context was to large to be seen or queried in the Event Viewer itself (error 1734).

Currently, there appears to be only one option to tell Firefox to open a given site in a specific container; that is, from the URL bar, to the right.

Would it make sense to have this configuration option presented in "edit bookmark" and/or in a right-click pulldown menu "Always open in this container"?

I just installed FireFox but keep getting Chrome browser. How do I set FireFox as my default browser? My bookmark tab icons keep changing - how to change them back permanently ?

Update 123.0 deleted all my firefox data from logins.json. backup files are corrupted or have no data. No support article suggestions have worked. The .json files indicate that there is data, but appears blank in notepad, and wont load in json reader in firefox

I do not use SVG

In some recent update firefox privacy and security settings changed from saved logins to saved passwords. I find this much less useful. Can i change back to saved logins?

I'm developing web app. I created and set up ssl auth for localhost with self signed cert.

When I hit my endpoint with firefox I see:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to localhost:8081. SSL peer cannot verify your certificate.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_ALERT

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

How to disable security in FF so I can test my endpoint?

Randomly after certain updates, the browser history gets randomly erased. The cookies are not deleted, so my sign in information is retained across my usual website (no issue here).

I wanted to report this as it happened twice around the past two weeks and it was inconvenient.

Im using Playwright with JS and when Im running ny test on FireFox i get a PopUp message to select the screen i want to screencast, even when im choosing screen and pressing "Share" its happened in the next test and not recording my tests. its happened only in FF. How im removed this PopUP ?Thanks. Using also Linux Ubuntu.

Hello Mozilla, When using Firefox I always have Enhanced Tracking Protection turned on - Custom, all four categories are checked, no exceptions are identified. Yet when I look at the Process Manager I consistently find third-parties (defined by me as NOT my OS, my browser, or any website I have visited during this session). As I write this I have just killed the following 4 processes, which I think Firefox should have caught. And in a few minutes when my active window is another application or when I take some browser tab to full-screen mode, these processes I thought I killed will reactivate. The current sample:

You may identify these as innocuous, but they are the very definition of third-party sites. Anything that calls itself TRUST is the first thing I'm going to question. Its exhausting having to police this constantly. What good is ETP if I have to supplement with my own time and energy, diverting me from my primary tasks?

Steps taken: Before submitting this I took a moment to check all the sites I have open or have had open on this device in this browser session. Clicking on the shield near the web address field, I have confirmed EPT is ON for each of them and I can see that many trackers, etc., are apparently being blocked. I also re-checked the related Firefox settings to ensure it remains as I selected.

Info: I work in remote locations, and carry my own hotspot with me. Its a cellular hotspot and I can have many devices as well as many tasks on any single device sharing the bandwidth. I started looking into this because these extra processes interfere with my use of my own devices and the bandwidth that I need and PAY FOR.

Greetings. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and started using Firefox again. In order to be more secure and private I am reviewing all of my settings everywhere. I am concerned that the security certificates that are currently in my Firefox are safe, secure and current. I know the internet is worldwide and bad actors can from any country but when I see them from certain countries that does concern me. Is there a way to verify the certificates are good? Is there an harm in deleting certificates? Is there any suggestions of what countries, websites to stay away from concerning certificates? If the validity is expired should I delete it? I do not like to make assumptions. I try to make informed decisions. Thank you, bkh8611@gmail.com
