Hi,
At some point in the last couple of weeks, I've started running into very frequent crashes running Firefox in the Linux container on my Chromebook. It previously worked well, but is now unusable. I'm now running Firefox version 147.0.3 on Chrome version 144.0.7559.167. This is after I did a clean reinstall of Firefox using flatpak, which didn't help. It seems like it often happens when my mouse hovers over a browser tab or icon (eg account, extensions, hamburger). Other quirky display behaviour, which mayor may not related, is that videos are often not working (eg Youtube, BBC), and various browser windows (eg when selecting Manage Bookmarks, or restarting in safe mode), open a small size-reduced window. Latest crash reports below -

Thanks for any suggestions.

Firefox continues to freeze up even after many FF updates. I am running Ubuntu 22.04LTS. Firefox freezes for no apparent reason. I am lucky if I can just close the browser. But often times I must do a hard shutdown of my laptop. Since the problem first appeared about six (?) months ago there have been a number of Firefox updates, but this problem continues. When will it be fixed finally?

Hi Mozilla,
i stumbled upon an extension called 'unhook' which allows to hide a wide selection of content from my view on youtube. This is amazing! Now I can watch my favourite channels without annoying stuff on every side. I would really appreciate to have something of this kind as a native feature in Firefox. So please consider this a suggestion right away or point me towards the place where I can suggest this feature correctly - if there is such.
Thanks a lot for Firefox!

I am in the process of switching from Windows 10 to Linux Mint (Cinnamon 22.3) as my daily operating system. My current Windows version of Firefox is 147.0.2, for Linux it is 147.0.3. installed from the official repository - also known as the Software Manager in Linux Mint. I've configured Firefox exactly the same in both operating systems. Running under Windows when saving a Bookmark, Firefox displays the well known Globe Icon, but after reloading the page the Favicon appears immediately (provided it is available of course). Under Linux Mint this does not happen, even if one restarts Firefox. Only after a system reboot Favicons of revisited pages become visible. Is this a fundamental difference between the Windows and Linux version of Firefox or am I missing something? I've installed the Firefox extension for caching the favicon, but it made no difference, If I run it, still the Icon does not appear until system reboot. I couldn´t find an answer in the help database nor on the Internet in general.
This difference might seem insignificant for most people but for me it is. When shopping on the internet I bookmark a lot of pages of products to be able to make quick comparisons. The Favicon is of great help because it makes it easy to identify the different shops. Of course I could manually change the bookmark name to include the shop name, but Icons are a much better clue and leave more room in the bookmark name for other information.

On my steam deck, from time to time, the firefox's touchscreen support seems to switch modes.
The symptoms are:
- Instead of scrolling, one-finger touch-and-drag now zooms in and out (depending on direction) - The touchscreen no longer lets me select or close tabs, or focus or click in-page widgets - This mode-switch is restricted to the firefox window in which it happens - Moving the tab to a new window results in the new window working fine - Other existing windows are unaffected (although they may later experience a touch mode switch event)
I have yet to determine what triggers this switch, nor can I figure out how to undo it.
I am having trouble logging in. I have entered my password, but it wont let me access my account settings.

I often hit ^T (control-T) in firefox without meaning to, because I use that chord in other applications a lot. In firefox it opens a new tab, which is almost never what I want. I'd like to suppress that keyboard shortcut. I tried doing it using vimium (unmap <c-t>) but that has no effect.
Thank you, Silvio

I have recently begun to have hard 'hangs' while attempting to view a video on a site I'm already connected to. I've tried to overcome these hangs, but they continue to happen even after firefox has been in use for a short time. I have to restart my computer, since the hang is locking up all control input.

As you can see in this screenshot, Firefox is constantly bugging me with this popup.
I am not able to find an option to disable it once and for all - and I am not able to set it up as my default browser (professional reasons).
It breaks an automation script that I am working on.
Much appreciated :)
