I have discovered a problem with Firefox updates when opening a Kaspersky Safe Money browser session.

In Firefox, Tools - Settings, Firefox Updates, it shows Firefox is being updated by another instance and the option to Check for Updates has been greyed out (screenshot attached).

When you use the Help, About Firefox option it also says that Firefox is being updated by another instance (see screenshot attached).

When you check the same Settings in the Safe Money 2nd session, it shows exactly the same information and you cannot update Firefox in any session.

In previous versions of Firefox, when you opened a 2nd session it said that Firefox was being updated by another instance and the option to Check for Updates was greyed out but you could still update Firefox in the main session.

This is not a problem when using Chrome or Edge so it must be related to Firefox so can anyone suggest anything to fix this or does it need Tech Support to look into it for fixing?

Please help me! Last week, was the victim of a computer scam. I called the 888# pop-up on screen. Looked so real w/MS logo and MS defender logo. I stupidly gave my IP address, name, cellphone #, (which I reported to MS fraud division and the FBI). (I installed a VPN, after the fact.) I can't believe I was so taken in by this guy.

  I went to my bank in person and gave them my new email address.  I tried to log in to my online banking today. Message "Secure Connection Failed. You are not securely connection to this site.Your connection to this site is not private. Information you submit could be viewed by others (like passwords, messages, credit cards, etc.) "
Now, I'm terrified that this scammer has access to my computer.
I'm afraid to access my online banking. He may even have access to my other online accounts, such as my cable, retail stores, etc. where I changed my email addresses and passwords.
Even if I can get "securely connected" how do I know I'm safe from these guys who have my IP address?
 What can I do?  Can someone please help me? Or make a suggestion as to where I can go to resolve this (if possible?

i get 'server not found' and 'try again' window when trying to access sites and even within sites if i manage to get on - after several 'try again' clicks

could this be related to recently installed fibre optics or do i have a virus - my anti-virus protection is bitdefenders

Greetings, I've checked a few articles in Firefox to help with my question, but none of them are helping. (Here's the main article: http://example.com.) Here's the situation. Say I go to a website's Contact page and click the button to contact someone, a window appears and asks me what app I want to use to open the email. Gmail is my default email, and Firefox is my default browser, and I use Windows 10. When I open the window of options (see attached screenshot) to open the email, and I then click "Choose Other Application" (other than Firefox), I don't see the Gmail app anywhere. I then followed the directions in that link above to check my Windows settings, per its suggestion, which I did ... but in those settings, too, I got to a point where the directions no longer matched what I'm seeing on my screen. I didn't see the Gmail app anywhere. Could you let me know in simple layperson's terms how to open Gmail links in Firefox? I don't have a PhD in computer science, so please keep it very simple. My desktop icon gave me a bad link error message, what happened to my forefox account? I upgraded, checked the save settings, and EVERYTHING is gone. All of my saved logins for several hundred sites. How can I restore them?

I have the problem with firefox AND edge, that when I want to log into my router, via 192.168.8.1, I receive message that an error has occurred or that it is not secure.

How do I avoid these messages? I have made rules in my Bitdefender to allow it, but still it does not work. Any suggestions how to be able to log into my router, is welcomed.

I lost my bookmarks when I changed my password. Can Firefox recover them on its servers? I've seen many similar complaints arising from similar problems. One would think that Firefox would address this issue to improve the user experience.

I reset the laptop and lost the bookmarks. It originally reset to Edge but I downloaded Firefox. I have gone to the square of horizontal lines, clicked on Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks, Import and Backup, Restore. The only date that shows is today's date. What else can I try?

Firefox is set as my default email app in W10 - pls see uploaded image. I have tried to change it by using the options at the bottom of that default app screen. I use Sky Yahoo mail but I cannot change from Firefox. I want to set Sky Yahoo as my default email for W10.

Any help for this old novice much appreciated.

There are two websites (at least) in which I've been receiving the same error message (see attached). Because these were sites I need for work, I first worked with IT Services and they first suggested clearing the cache. That did seem to work for about a week and a half. However, 2 days ago, it started happening again and now clearing the cache does not seem to work. I know it's a firefox issue because the pages load fine on Chrome.

I've checked a couple of the "similar topics" before posting here. I'm not sure if I am having the same problem or something else.

Back Story: I have a "few" windows and tabs open in FireFox. I would finish what I was doing, shut down and then the next time I booted up and loaded FireFox, all sessions would be restored and all log ins honoured (kept). That is: I was still logged in.

(Moving to now) Yesterday I powered up and ALL sites were logged out. About 20 log ins were needed. Hmmmmm... gmail, and the rest.

"Ok... something happened. No problems, things should be ok from now. I've logged in, so all is sweet."

Today I power up: All logs ins lost. Had to go through it all again.

Gmail is throwing security alerts at me hand over fist. Yeah, that is good in some ways. I get that part. But I've logged in.

Seems - my thoughts - that the cookies aren't being saved. But why? I haven't touched them or their settings.

Yes, I did do a clean out of older cookies. But left the gmail ones, and other sites I know I use. I have `adblocker ultimate` installed.

Now I am logged in, if I open the `cookies` and look I should see them there for the sites to which I am logged in - yes?

To be clear: When I am done, I do NOT `exit` FireFox. All windows, tabs, sessions are left. I just shut down the machine. Then next time I load FireFox and they are re-loaded and log ins are maintained.

I have close to 2000 bookmarks. There are organized into folders. I want get ride of the folder structure and have all bookmarks on together in one place - no nested folders.

I could click, hold, drag and drop but would be time consuming as I have too many folders.

How do unest all folders and keep all bookmarks together in single place?

Hello I am trying so hard to contain my anger, I am so angry and frustrated i am finding it hard to get help and i am in just dispare over this i have spend days trying myself to fix this i dont know what do anymore i am so very very angry, i am beyond fury with this i cant get any help i just cant believe this is happening

On my video gallery page, some of my videos are stand alone and others are a series of two or more videos. When you click on the series, it takes you to the page where all the ones in the series are housed, but then when you click on one of the videos in that series, I receive a prompt from FIREFOX: Receiving prompt on my created web site "FIREFOX CAN'T OPEN THIS PAGE" Open site in new window...

This totally messes up my ease of use for customers and is keeping them from following through. I would like this feature disabled if possible. Any work around for this?
