I’m using the official ShadowsocksX app to relay network connections through a Shadowsocks server, and Firefox seems to be having compatibility issues. The browser does not load pages when proxy settings are set to “auto-detect” or “use system:” I’m getting the “Unable to connect” error message. Manually setting the SOCKS host to 127.0.0.1:XXXXX does fix the problem, but that also means I have to switch back to “system” whenever I turn Shadowsocks off.

Neither Safari nor Chrome requires manual action to relay connections on the same computer.

On a different computer, I’m using the Outline client to connect to the same Shadowsocks instance. Firefox does not have issues with that.

Hi I wish to have Firefox 125.0.2 and 124.02 'separate instances', not different profiles...

I already have 125.0.2 installed with various Profiles.

I found a 'few' links and they were quite 'cloudy' and also since Firefox (now) does not have the 'ask you WHERE to' install... I vaguely remember years ago, it was possible.

I do not mid doing tweaking, I also already have backups of profiles, just in case!

Starting with my bank's web site, my user name/password is being challenged. I can't bank. Elsewhere, where my desk top has always been recognized, I'm now forced to log in each time...and I receive an email that a new device has just logged into my account. All of this suspiciously coincides with a recent browser update. On my bank feedback it's showing as Firefox "125"...when all previous logins were recorded as Firefox "124". Help!

FF loads so slowly and blocks so many sites that I had to disable enhanced tracking to get to mozilla.org. It can take up to 30 seconds for a site to load if I don't disable enhanced tracking, and even then, some won't load and will time out. I have 7 pinned items that load when FF opens, and it can take up to 5 minutes for all of those to load. Even on some sites where I have enhanced tracking turned off, I have to close the initial block page to get the site to load. Sometimes I have to stop the download and refresh to get the page to load. It is blocking sites that I've used for years with no problems.

What I have done: Troubleshoot mode - loaded a bit faster, but still had problems with some bookmarked pages I've used for years with no problems. It seems to hate all Google Pages, especially Google News Turned off Deceptive Content and Dangerous Software protection Turned off HTTPS only mode Turned off Block Popup Windows

Hi. Strange request I know because Firefox is working perfectly but Google has failed me.

We have a printer/copier in our small club. The IP address assigned is 192.168.1.125. Typing this into a browser should bring up the copier admin dashboard.

When I do this using Firefox everything works fine, BUT when I use any other browser such as Chrome, Edge or Opera I get the "Cannot connect" "Error connecting" etc message.

I removed Bitdefender antivirus and disabled Windows Defender but it's still the same.

Any network people who can point me in the right place as to where to look or report to the correct forum.

I'd like to organize bookmarks alphabetically, with folders listed first, at the top of the list, followed by bookmarks not saved to folders. How do I do this? An example: Folder A Folder B Folder C Acme Co inc Beta Corp, C corp ...etc

Am trying to update my email address. When I try to make the secondary the primary, it wants a verification code entered. The field for this code will not let me paste it or enter it manually. Will this glitch be fixed soon?

Others asked and were pointed to extensions. As long as extensions get access to my pages, I'm not willing to use any. So, is there an option in advanced settings, to return to previously viewed tab when I close a tab? Thanks, Cat

I am a Salesforce (improveit! 360) user, exclusively browsing with Firefox for over 12 years without any problems. The most recent Firefox update 125.0.2 (64-bit) has caused an issue with my staff calendar. I have reached out to improveit! 360 they are a force.com developer and they will not help, said the error is caused by Firefox interpreting the code. I have figured out a work around to get the calendar to load correctly for a short term solution. Below is a screenshot of the error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your assistance in advance. Since I updated my browser, I've encountered some issues when trying to maximize the virtual screen in my tv. I use a Mac and connect the screen to a web TV to watch YouTube in my big tv. However, when I click to maximize the window, the connection becomes unstable, and the virtual screen disappears every time I click the YouTube icon to do this. This problem never occurred before. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. Please let me know if you require any additional information from me.

I noticed that FireFox downloaded a Firefox HTML Document called GnT6qZGD with a size of 0KB, during this time I had tabs open from both https://wago.io/weakauras and https://www.curseforge.com/

Scanned it with Bitdefender and it was clean and when editing in notepad it is empty and a blank page when accidentally opening it.

Then completed a full system scan and it come up as clean.

I have 2 questions,

1st, Is this still a bug in Firefox that appears to have been reported before? 2nd Should I be concerned about it?

When choosing biometrics for 2-factor authentication, sometimes Firefox will only prompt for a physical hardware key, and Touch ID does not work. Support for built-in biometrics is inconsistent.

I'm on a Mac running Monterey 12.7.4. I've been using Firefox for years with no issues. All of a sudden Firefox can't load any websites. Message: "We can’t connect to the server at www.XXX.ca." But Safari loads all websites with no problems. I can't figure this out.
