The new upgrade to Firefox 4.0 has rendered the browser useless. Even older versions will no longer open. How do I get any version of Firefox to load again?

When I upgraded to Firefox 4.0 I continually got error messages but the browser would still work when I cleared them. After the upgrade April 29 the browser worked until the computer was shut down.Next day it won't load.I tried to install older versions but they just get automatically "upgraded".This is from my laptop which I did not upgrade to 4.0 after my desktop issues.The error message I get when I try to load the browser is above.
