I'm having trouble getting the fireftp add-on to work

I downloaded the FireFTP add-on from the firefox website. The instructions I had gotten from a 'How To' post by Mark Rafferty said that when I go to the ftp server FireFTP would automatically load and two window panes would be visible where I can upload the files. When I go to the ftp site, I see the files on the site but don't have the two windows so I can upload.
