My tabs were to meet deleted automatically on my iPhone.

My tabs were deleted automatically, without me doing anything. I have an iPhone 6, with only 16 gig of storage. Why does this happen? How do I prevent it? How do I get the tabs back? There were many tabs I wanted to refer back to and read. Now they’re gone and I won’t be able to find them again. Also, we should be able to delete our history, one line at a time, not all or nothing. With Firefox, I have to delete everything. I don’t want to do that. We should be able to keep what I want and delete what I don’t. Why don’t we have better control over this issue?
