Forefox for iOS will not automatically sign in with saved passwords

I have signed in and out of my Mozilla account in Firefox on my iPhone now with the new and improved iOS 14. When I go to sites with saved passwords Firefox does not offer to fill in the user name and password. When I check they are all stored in the app and the buttons to allow Firefox to fill in passwords are all set correctly. Where do you go from there except back to Safari which, awful as it is, at least works like it sort of should.
