Cannot sort folders first file upload and download

Ever since switching to Debian 64 running Mate and Firefox Quantum there is no option to sort folders first. Until Now I have never had this problem. It is very annoying when uploading and downloading files.

I am using multiple profiles in firefox, some with plugins, one without as a control. They all behave the same.
