I can't print to PDF by pressing Ctrl+P. How do I enable it?

In Google Chrome, when I press Ctrl+P, I get the option to print the page to PDF directly, whether I have any add-on or not. However in Firefox, even after installing addons, when I click a link which opens the print dialog box (with page setting, orientation etc.), there is no option in the drop-down to print to PDF. I am stuck as I need to save a document to PDF as it does not open up in another tab. Any help?
