Trojan program changed firefox. Every time I hit a new tab, it changes the look of firefox and tries to open a new page, at www.trovi.com/

I uninstalled firefox and reinstalled it, but that did not fix it.. Do I need to a complete wipe of firefox and all files?

Any ideas?

tried that, couldn't find the broweser newtab url thing..

So i just downloaded an add on that fixed the problem

Hi, please try working through Remove Trovi from Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer by Malware Tips.

After removal, you may need to reset your New Tab: Type about:config into the address bar, press Enter, accept the warning, scroll down to browser.newtab.url and make sure 'Value' is set to about:newtab (right click > Modify, to change it if necessary, taking care not to alter anything else). You may then need to restart Firefox.
