I followed the steps to activate the built-in VPN, but once I sign in and it says it's successful, when I click on the VPN button to turn it on, it just shows me the "get started" VPN panel again. I'm not sure how to get out of that loop. I tried fully closing Firefox and starting again

When I hit the free Firefox Free VPN limit of 50gb, I purchased one year of Mozilla VPN. At first it worked, but now Firefox denies access to any website if I have Mozilla VPN!? What is causing this. Also now that new month Free VPN will not turn on as says I already have another acount, ie Mozilla. When force a start page if gives me a Firefox page without any of my bookmarks.
