Recently I observed Firefox is consuming TOO MUCH of RAM on my PC. It is anywhere between 55 % & 65%. That’s too much! I’ve 12 GB of RAM.
Is this due to updating of FF? Btw, I did not install any Extensions. And if I close Firefox the RAM consumption comes down to around 33%.
I do have 12-14 open Tabs but I always had those open Tabs. Previously FF did not consume so much of memory. What could be the reasons for this heavy RAM consumption?

Hello ! I'm confronted to a very weird behavior of Firefox, on Ubuntu 24.04.
When I'm clicking on a link in a mail of pdf document, the page opens in Firefox, I can navigate and click in it but when I try to type something (for instance to enter my id to connect), the keyboard does not consider I'm in Firefox but still in the previous application (Thunderbird etc). To be able to type something in Firefox, I need to go back to another window (alt tab) then go back to Firefox manually...
This also occurs if Firefox hides the other application on the screen. Note that from the colors of the windows (the tone of grey), I looks like that Firefox is the active window and no longer Thunderbird.
I tried to summary this in the following image.
firefox since latest update flickers horribly, my IDM no longer works, can not see my task bar without closing so major issue, how to fix?
Firefox is very slow to load when I click on it.

I've been trying to get the browser toolbox window to work correctly for a couple of days now and I can't figure out what's going on. When I invoke the toolbox window with the shortcut key or through the menu entry the window pops up and asks for permission to connect (I click 'ok' in this box) but the window gets stuck before loading the toolbox ui, screenshot of what I'm seeing is attached.
I'm on windows 11 pro 25h2 and firefox 159.0.
I should note that this is the same behavior in a clean temp profile in firefox, as well as the same behavior in other firefox based browser, such as librewolf.
Does anyone here know what I can do to get this working?
Thanks for any help and let me know if you need any other info.

This is a little difficult to describe, but In Firefox 159 on macOS, the screen very quickly "flashes" when hitting the "Page Up" or "Page Down" buttons on the keyboard. I didn't notice this as much before. It's subtle, but it's something that jumped out at me when I recently opened Firefox to try it again. This is different behavior from Chromium-based browsers, which are possibly painting the screen's new contents faster? I'm not sure what it is, but it's a little distracting.

My macOS golden gate 27.2 restarted without permission while I was away. Admittedly I had a lot of tabs open. When I restarted Firefox (159.0), it appeared to have lost the active tabs but restored the minimized ones. But when I selected each of them, they started to expand and then vanished. The restore previous session and recently closed tabs/windows options were greyed out. I tried restarting Firefox and the whole laptop, and it returned to the same state. HOWEVER, right clicking the Firefox icon provides a list of windows, and clicking “show all windows” displays the windows I had open, so it looks like they’re not entirely lost? When I select a window it does everything to look like it’s going to open- including greying out another application open behind it- but it just doesn’t open. Interestingly pressing “more troubleshooting information” or “new tab” seems to open a new tab in the existing window in “show all windows”.
I also tried this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup No noticeable effect, I think the earliest backup was made too late.
it say firefox wont work unless its restarted

On Instagram and YouTube especially, when you click their tab, many times the page is now blank, you canot reload it, it just dissappears. If ti is there, clicking around is extremely slow if not unresponsive.
It is a tad better in the latest update, a small tad, but still very much broken from previous release.
I have a screen recording
Firefox is eating up too much of computer. What can I do? Can you fix from there? I am 80 years old and not very tech savvy!
