nav bar disappears when opening hotmail in a new window

After installing the latest version of firefox, hotmail now opens in a separate window (not a tab like it used to) and the nav bar is gone. Clicking alt will not bring it up, but it is fine on my home page. All other webpages open in a tab. I have to go into firefox safe mode everytime I start the computer and reset the toolbars and defaults. What happened to this version?

Every time Firefox opened
