Which e mails does Thunderbird show
I want Thunderbird to import from my Telstra address only. How do I control what e mails it shows.

You create a new email address at say GMX so you now have an email address LocalFottyClub@gmx.com
You add that account to thunderbird using the account manager. If the account is loaded as IMAP, the default and most popular protocol these days, it will appear in the account list in the folder pane along with all the other accounts configured.
Given the account is listed on it's own, none for the mail in it is mingled with yours.

It gets mail from the accounts you set up in it. initially it asked you for an email address to setup as it has none.
Thanks Matt, I know that. Perhaps my question should be "How do I change the emails addresses from which it imports?" I want to set up a new e mail address, dedicated to a club I run, but I do not want those e mails appearing in my personal e mails.
