Hi!

I am getting messages that I am blocking ads for many of my internet requests. I had never received these before but all of a sudden I started to get them. I have tried a number of things but nothing works.

I am running Windows 11 and do not have any Ad blockers.

Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Hello. I am setting up a site on Linux server using Apache as reverse proxy , with ASP.NET as application server . since installing SSL , I had few mixed content blocking that i was managed to fix using CSP directive in Apache configuration file. site has no issue with all browser except Firefox. the only issue is that in admin section , to configure a option. system will load a js file that simply a dropdown with list of options to choose from . when using Firefox , it tries to redirect that page to login page . for test , i clicked on the link i located in Developer tools , which directed me to login page , entered my credentials, and scripts loads showing the drop down box and ok button. is been 3 weeks i been looking for every solution and i have done everything .. but nothing have worked. now I am resort to having to use other browsers if i need to use that functionality in admin page. In page header file name : login , location : http://MYDOMAIN.ca/login?ReturnUrl=%2FAdmin%2FDiscountRulesCustomerRoles%2FConfigure%3FdiscountId%3D6%26_%3D1702682353293 , which are not correct . and browser such as Brave and Safari dose not show different path and file name and everything is correct. dose anyone know how to fix this .. ? i saw a solution mentioned as stated resting Firefox ,but can not find a way to reset , but i have reinstalled Firefox and constantly having this issue on this single section of the page . Recently I've noticed that my tabs auto refresh if I have'nt been in them for a while. I turned that off ages ago cus I hate it. Now, all of a sudden they refresh again.

accessibility.blockautorefresh services.sync.prefs.sync-seen.accessibility.blockautorefresh

Are both set to true, which I'm pretty sure was supposed to block auto refresh.

I don't know what else to do.

I'm on Firefox version 139.0.1 (64-bit), Windows 11.

While I was browsing the internet,I saw one of mt results, while related to something I viewed before, was reworded and looked different than how I had typed it. The only extension I currently have is Ghostery. Could someone please explain whats going on?

I have two methods i used to log-in my single site log-in to access my work email client, Microsoft Outlook Web Application. At first, books to the email log-in stopped working. Then I would try through the company portal, and the same issue started happening again. I get the message I have logged out after clicking to log in. I tried clearing Cache and erasing site setting history, but these have been temporary solutions. I wonder what a more long-term solution would be.

DELL's new monitor, U3225QE, can be connected via Thunderbolt 4. I can display 120Hz and Edge and Chrome display without any problems. Only in Firefox there are some areas that should be displayed in white but are displayed in pink. By the way, when connected via HDMI 2.1, the display is 120Hz without any discoloration. If you turn on the dynamic refresh rate, the screen will go black every time you move the mouse. When it is OFF, Firefox browsing does not change color and can be used normally, I called Dell support and they told me, "That's probably a problem with Firefox." It would be helpful if Mozilla could address this issue.

I have a addon that redirects Reddit links to the Old Reddit website (https://github.com/tom-james-watson/old-reddit-redirect). If I visit the 2nd link by clicking it in Discord I get a Security Certificate error but if I then click in the address bar and press Enter (or Paste in a copy and press Enter) it gets properly redirected (the www. is removed from the URL) and no Security Certificate error occurs.

Why this odd behaviour disparity between clicking a URL in a webpage and directly entering the exact same hyperlink in to the address bar?

Firstly, my apologies, but I only have a very basic understanding of computers.

I somehow ended up fiddling with a side bar on the right hand side of my screen, and the next thing I knew I had lost the ability to have multiple tabs open on my screen. I tried google a solution and came up with this:

"View>Cusomise toolbar in browers. Look for the new tab button. If its there, drag it back to the toolbar, typically to the right of the existing tab."

I tried that, but it didn't work. The plus sigh came out on the left rather than the right of my search bar, and every time I clicked it I just got a new page, rather than a new tab being added to the existing one.

I would be grateful if anyone has a solution to this issue.

I'm having problems logging in to firefox on my pc with my gmail account that i mainly use. I don't have any keys and don't remember what i did with them, i have swapped computers and browsers and the old computer was reset years ago. I also don't have the authenticator for mozilla on my phone, don't remember what happened to it. I have access to my email, could i somehow get an authenticate code or backup authentication code sent to it or can i just never log into firefox with it again?

I'm using Firefox in MacBook. When i'm accessing SharePoint site and any link related to SharePoint, i'm frequently get the prompt to sign in my Microsoft 365 account. i didn't face this issue when using Chrome or Edge. IT Team try to set conditional access from Microsoft to allow persistent token, it work well for Chrome but seems Firefox didn't take effect. Any help can guide me to reduce the frequent prompt to sign in?

How do I report the issue of being unable to remove a URL from autocomplete?

When I start typing the URL, it shows up like the following image with a globe icon and "Visit" text, but there is no "..." button to remove the suggestion like there is on other suggestions: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/address-bar-autocomplete-firefox#w_url-autocomplete

This is really annoying because a site I visit a lot changed from .com to .org without redirecting the old to the new.

Tried Review Checker when it first came out. Liked it a lot. With the most recent Firefox update, I seem to have lost it. It doesn't come up automatically in Amazon, and I don't see a price tag on an item description page to turn it on. The Firefox Settings describes Review Checker, but I don't see a way to turn it on there, either.

Was funny... when ask for screenshot... when... screenshot...wont allow for capture of open MetaMask Extension View to be included... in screen capture.... No offense... but don't you have seasoned professionals to figure that out????

My search history has disappeared. View/history shows a blank page. If I select "history" from the menu, "recently closed tabs" and "recently closed windows" are grayed out, and "recent history" is empty. But I've been to a dozen or more sites today. What can I do to make Firefox record my history?
