i'm missing some of the default search engines in the bar ebay and amazon. i hit the button "restore default search engines" in setting to try and fix it no luck. only give me back wikipedia, bing, duckduckgo but not amazon and ebay two sites i visit a lot.

this been happening to me for the past year and every time i had to go in the c drive and delete the mozilla folders and reinstall firefox to get them back. then use it after a month or two later they disappeared for no reason. this only happens on my desktop and not my laptop how do i make this stop happening?

Every day on the second or third tab the website will not load. If I open firefox again the site will load immediately. These can be bookmarked sites previously used one million times or linked sites embedded in a current tab. Your support pages have not helped. I'm about to ditch Firefox MS Edge!

I am on a mailing list from the Smithsonian Magazine. I receive a daily email containing links to interesting stories. The links work and take me to the correct page, however, I am unable to scroll the page up to read the article. They used to scroll, but not now when I go there by clicking a link in the email. The email also contains a link named View in Browser, and the email appears in Firefox and I can scroll the email, but if I click on a link in that email displayed in the browser, the page still will not scroll up. Problem not present in Chrome or Edge. I previously reported this to Mozilla in Feedback and to the Smithsonian about 2 weeks ago, but still no change in his strange behavior. I'm an instructor that uses Blackboard at college. When I click in the text entry box to enter my grades, I'm given a list of previously entered grades to choose from. The list is in ascending order. Is there any way to get this list in descending order? One other point, until recently it used to display the value that was used most often at the top, which was often 100. Now it's in ascending order. I've attached a snippet of what I mean.

I just did a clean install on a new windows 11 machine. Every time I close Firefox I get a report crash screen from Firefox. When I close it and restart Firefox everything is fine, but very annoying! I have search every where with no luck for a fix. I did turn off my FSecure which made no difference If it continues I guess after all these years I will have to change browsers,which I don't want to do.

I was in the middle of asking this question when I fixed (worked around) the problem so I'm posting more as a informative post as there is a lot of old misdirection out there now.

I am(was) unable to drag any URLs from the URI drop down field in the main interface to my bookmarks toolbar. Nor was any drag and drop functionality working in the "Customise Firefox" screen (right click space on url bar -> Customise Toolbar).

I have now found that resetting my zoom setting in preferences to 100% restores this functionality. The problem arose when I was using 120% zoom, NOT text only.

Hello, I've chatted with the creators of the add on "Twitter X Ad Blocker" and asked why it isn't working any more. They told me they have an update made and ready but you have not approved it yet. What will it take to get you to approve the update so this will work again?

after the download of v.126.0 i discover my history, all of it, has been deleted. in its place is a single web site, which shows up as the only web site visited across a time span going back months. this single web site cannot be deleted from the history. it cannot be deleted through the settings menu. no new history is created by web visits. the persisting single web site is among the sites in my tool bar, but is also a site i have not recently visited (months before this happened).

I use passkey verification for a website. In other browsers, I can get a QR code to scan with my phone to login. In Firefox, I only get a popup saying Touch your security key to continue with <site> (image attached). In Chromium, I have options for both (image attached). Is this possible in Firefox?

For some reason the developer tool on Firefox is just completely blank when I open it. Nothing will load and I can't even close out of it. Any ideas on how to fix this?

On firefox 126.0 (64-bit) the option for spelling check is enabled, but will not appear on the context menu box when right clicked. This happens for the desktop sites of Facebook and Instagram.

After up grading to a Mac Studio running Os 14.5, I downloaded the latest Firefox 126.0. I have three other computers with Firefox. The oldest a Mac Pro running 10.13.6 Hi Sierra that works flawlessly. I tried sync and bookmarks came over to the Mac Studio but not any passwords. I tried importing via a .csv file and got the message: Import complete New passwords added: 0 Existing entries updated: 0 Duplicate entries found: 0 Errors 190 (not imported)

Firefox will NOT even save manually entered passwords. I suspect some problem with Sonoma's paranoid security but I cannot find a solution. Any suggestions?

control + UP (arrow) is documented to "go to top of page". That has broken as of 126.0 And, for some reason I don't remember, I found that using "HOME" in the past was also problematic.

How do I report something as "b roken" to firefox and do you agree it is broken?

I'm unable to load this specific website "https://doy2mn9upadnk.cloudfront.net/" just on Firefox browser, i keep getting same error "PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR" yet it loads perfectly fine in Chrome. I don't use any vpn/proxy

I often run into issues with PDFs in Firefox Linux. They either appear totally blank (typically after suspend/restore), or they appear with the desktop background showing through (as in the attached screenshot).

Hard refreshing the page doesn't change anything, opening a new tab and opening the PDF again doesn't change anything, opening a new window and loading the PDF doesn't change anything.

It renders correctly in Chromium.

A while back I downgraded my Firefox version to some old version to be able to access a FortiGate 310B. However when I upgraded back and started using the latest version my search completion stopped working, but my search completion is turned on. It shows things I've already searched for, but it's not fetching new completions. I lived with this for a while since I couldn't be bothered to fix it, but I recently moved to linux, and copied all my data, I did this by just copying the profile folder and moved into into a new profile I created on linux. It worked, my bookmark, history, passwords etc are saved, but still no completion. I tried creating a new profile and the search completion worked perfectly fine. Do you guys have any tips or things I could try? Or do I just give up and move to a new profile, since this one is presumably corrupt?

So I have an issue where I am unable to reorder or detach tabs after having detached one tab. When I start Firefox I am able to reorder my tabs as much as I want, but once I detach one tab both functionalities do not work anymore.

- Firefox version 126.0 on Kubuntu 24.04 - After restarting Firefox I am able to do it again once - After rebooting I am also able to do it again once - The same issue in private window - I have refreshed Firefox through Help -> More troubleshooting information - Disabled all my add-ons - Tried it in Troubleshoot mode

I cannot seem to find a real answer online. Does somebody here have a solution for me :-)?
