So I'm running firefox developer edition, and with the same extensions on normal plain firefox, the search results kinda lag behind. If i type fast enough/normal speed, the words underneath the actual typing bar will lag behind. if i type slowly it doesnt do this...

Why when I drag & drop files to Outlook only URL is pasted instead of file? Is it possible to change this behavior? In Opera browser it works fine. Example in attachment.

A few days ago I was downloading a ZIP file and was warned that "This file contains a virus or malware". Fine, thank you for telling me but now how do I seeing the same warning every time I start Firefox? The file in question does not exist on my computer so far as I can tell and I did a thorough search through 3.5tB of storage on the machine to make sure. How do I stop this warning?

Latest version install (116) causing functionality issues in Google apps, and other Windows 10 apps. Tried to install an earlier version and that did not work. Tried the Beta version (Current 117) and no changes.

I've just installed Firefox Developer. I cannot get Mozilla VPN added to it. Can you help? Do I have to remove Mozilla VPN from the old Firefox installation before it will work?

Also, can I run both Firefox and Firefox Developer at the same time? I'm concerned that Profile entries an other variables might be corrupted.

Last, are there any articles or videos available to help users learn how to use FxDeveloper?

I'm having an issue with a particular text field. When entering any text into said text field, my CPU will shoot to 100% usage on some cores, hang for a bit and then print the text after a few seconds. I have an Intel 13900k @ 5.5ghz.

I can't provide a link to the text box as it's a WordPress CMS on my local machine. This issue does not present itself on the competitor browser.

A few troubleshooting steps I've taken:

• Re-install Firefox
• New profile
• Disable all extensions
• PC safemode + Firefox safe mode
• Tested dev/nightly/stable (I'm using BETA daily)
• Disabled accel

Hopefully I'm able to have an expert look at my profiler to help determine what the issue is. I'm not knowledgeable in this area unfortunately. https://share.firefox.dev/3s60ISV

Hi All,

I recently made a post that was resolved where enabling "Remember search and form history" would hang my browser.

In regards to this option, I really want to keep the "remember search" function but disable the "form history" option.

I'm aware that in about:config, the option browser.formfill.enable removed the form but is there a separate option to enable remember search?

For some reason every type of embedded video, youtube, webms, etc, all show up washed out in white. This only happens in FF and I have tried a few ways to fix, but no luck. Any ideas?

When I copy text from other websites, I'm not able to paste in the text field of Whatsapp Web. I'm using Firefox Developer Edition Browser in my laptop. But when I copy text from Whatsapp Web itself, I am able to paste in the text field.

This issue started happening just a few days ago.

Here are my specifications:

Browser: Firefox Developer Edition 117.0b8 (64-bit)

OS: Pop!_OS 21.10

For several weeks now I have been using the beta Firefox Translate fuction. As from todays beta update 117.0b8 the option to translate Russian to English has been removed. Is there any specific reason for this removal? I have had to go back to Chrome and Edge to use atuomatic translation. Even Brave offers Russian language translation!

I am developing a website (using AstroJS, but i don't think that's the problem) and since yesterday I am experiencing issues when opening devtools. Once I open devtools the whole FF tab becomes unresponsive, I cannot even refresh the page until they are done loading. I can change devtool tabs from 'inspector' to 'console' to 'network' etc but especially 'network' and 'debug' tabs are blank.

I run a 'performance' capture and got these results. In the test I have only opened the devtools and switched to the inspector tab which is unresponsive. The CPU usage is at around 90% however, I don't really know how to read the finding and understand what the problem is.

So anyone that can help me understand what is going on here?

Firefox Beta for Android frequently loads webpages as a blank black or grey page. Reloading the tab does nothing - only closing it and reopening it allows the page to load as expected.

I'm a big fan of Firefox and have been using it as my main browser for years, but this issue happens so often that I'm considering moving over to Samsung Internet when on mobile.

P.S. I know it isn't an addon issue as this still happens when all extensions are disabled.

I'm using a Galaxy 21FE on Android 13. Tracking protection is set to default. HTTPS only mode is enabled.

Im having an issue with my Firefox developer Eidition (v 117.0b9 -64bit), where im not able to "paste" text on whatsapp web since 18th Aug 2023. (pasting imgs is fine though)

Tested other ways to paste using right click / Ctrl+V but it didnt work.. and if i copy something from same whatsapp and re-apply paste, also does not work (again to remind, only pasting text does not work) !

Checking though other browsers "Edge" seems to be ok and i was able to "paste" text normally. I hv yet to check on the issue on normal Firefox Browser.

Using Windows 10. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz RAM 32.0 GB

Since other browsers did not have this issue, i thought of raising this for Firefox devs to hv a look at it. Maybe some update done recently caused this glitch. So im doing my part in sharing feedback to improve an open source software which i use.

For the last month I've been having this issue when downloading things from Firefox beta I get this "com.android.phone has stoped working" along with "phone has stopped" error anytime I download something.

With a recent update of Firefox Developer Edition to version 117.0b9 i keep getting extremely annoying popups on all sites, asking me if I want to translate stuff.

I don't want to store unnecessary settings in my browser, related to exceptions to websites/languages that I want vs. does not want to translate.

I want to completely disable translations, globally. Forever. Two questions:

- Why there is no "disable translations globally" checkbox in the newly added popup? - Is there an about:config hack to do disable translations globally, for all languages, for all websites, and forever?

Using FF for Android on a pixel 6 on every website when I try to scroll down nothing moves and if I keep sliding down the page refreshes. It thinks I'm at the top. Every single time. I have to scroll down a couple millimeters then it will go up. Scroll down is not an issue. I've seen other users with this issue and I've seen bug reports addressing it so I know it's a real thing.

A setting I would like to change in both Firefox Beta and Thunderbird Beta is "grayed out" and has a lock next to it preventing change. What configuration file(s) do I look for to find where they have been locked, so I can unlock them and change the setting? Thank you.
