Hi. I am trying to get into chase.com web without success. Why I already try several download with different browsers.

First, is there a list of commandline options?

Second, I would like to be able to start Firefox with a specified URL from a batch file -or- a .net program. Then, either close FF -or- switch to a different URL. is this possible?

A few times now, I have inadvertently opened a second Firefox window. The original Firefox window comes up with two pinned tabs. If I close the original window then when I start Firefox the next time, it no longer has pinned tabs. I am running Win8.1 on a desktop system.

Hello. My tablet, has limited memory, due to its age. I am now finding that one of the main reasons why it is so slow is because whenever I open firefox, it opens multiple firefox processes which drain the memory and in some cases crashes the system. I have followed all the advice given to reduce these multiple processes, however nothing seems to work and at least 6-8 firefox processes open each time I open it. I have unchecked the recommended performance settings as well as hardware acceleration boxes. However, I cannot find where to set the content process limit to 1. Please tell me how to do this and if there anything else I can try to stop it opening multiple processes or I may be forced to ditch Firefox altogether for an alternate such as Bing, Chrome or DuckDuckGo. msn.com and outlook.com recently changed their login procedure and I can't login using firefox. I get an error 400.

whenever i stop, backtrack or advance a video as in youtube i can expect it to crash. the same with pages containing videos. also playing music sound clips i can guarantee a crash. this has been a problem for years.

I'm trying to disable the alt + t shortcut in firefox and having absolutely no luck. I've searched for answers and all of the ones I've found haven't worked. I tried the about:config "ui.key.menuAccessKeyFocuses" set to true option and hiding the menu bar. Neither work. Is there anything that would work for me?

I'm unable to log in to Telephone Service Co. - TSC Wapakoneta, Ohio website using Firefox, but Internet Explorer logs in OK. TSC Customer Service indicated problem was in Firefox, but Firefox seems to work OK on other sites. TSC suggested I clear cache & cookies. Is this a good idea? If so, how do I do that?

I am having problems using a third-party website, playing chess, and one of the functions on their website is not available to me because I keep getting an error message. they have a forum on which I am discussing this issue with one of their Mod's, and he seems to be under the impression it has something to do with my Browser (Firefox 115.32.0esr) storing site data, and that the file in which this is stored has become corrupted in some way. I have no idea how he arrived at this conclusion but that is what he said.

I assured him that, "in Firefox, under <Privacy and Security>, in <Cookies and Site Data>, there is an option marked: "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed." this has a tick box next to it and on my computer this has been selected for about the last five or six years. the browser does not retain site data or cookies and deletes them each time it closes. when I follow the instructions you linked to, and click <Manage Data>, there is no data to manage. it does not exist."

however, he replied to this that: "I don’t think that setting deletes Local Storage, though I’m not 100% certain."

one observation I make is that when I open the <Cookies and Site Data> <Manage Data> dialogue, the websites I have visited in the current session are listed. this data therefore does exist, and there must therefore be a file, even if only temporarily, containing this data. my question is about what exactly happens to this file when I close the session.

1) is the file emptied of data, but still exists as a file.

or

2) is the file physically deleted so that it no longer exists.

if, after the session, I reopen the browser and select the <Clear Data> dialogue and click <Clear> does this simply empty the file or does it physically delete the file. if the file still exists, is there any way to ensure that it is physically deleted in order to confirm that it is not corrupted in some way?

I still have windows 8.1. I do all my bill paying online. I can no longer open my banks website for online business. I thought Firefox had renewed support through 2026? Wasnt Firefox a search engine? The listed search s - none of them open banks etc.
