Since Comcast will no longer allow me to "send" from my AOL Address I need to change my "from:" address on every e-mail I send. I thought I could make my Comcast outgoing server the default one and that would take care of it - it didn't. Then I thought I could just delete my AOL outgoing server and Thunderbird would then have to use my Comast Outgoing Server - it doesn't. I can continue to try and remember to change the FROM with the drop down list but it would sure be nice if I could save this aging brain of mine and make the software default for me.

We have multiple email accounts. How do I make one of the accounts the default sender address when we Send to a document to Mail Recipient? Or how can I change the order of the email accounts on Thunderbird that they appear?

When scrolling down I choose to read an article in a new window. When I open the new window, on the right side, a pop up window appears titled “Join the Conversation” or “More from Daily Express” blocking some of the article’s words. How can I stop this pop up window from appearing? Thanks.

Firefox has started making a piercing high-pitched screech when the "save image" and "file update" panels appear. This is a confirmation or alert sound I suppose. It occurs when saving an image from a right-click menu and when downloading a file. Formerly Firefox used the system default sound for this, and that sound is still working in other programs for similar operations.

How can I fix this? Or alternatively how can I disable the sound during such operations in Firefox (or alternatively system-wide)?

When visiting the "support.mozilla.org site, third-party translantion add-ons(such as "Immersive Translate") can't work. It says "can not read or change data on this site". I want to translate it on the same page rather than skipping into a new page. However, it can work on the "www.mozilla.org" site. When visiting on Chrome, there is not a problem. Is that site just privileged on Firefox ?

My refresh button has mysteriously disappeared from my browser toolbar. I can just use cmd+shift+r to refresh, but muscle memory keeps looking for the button on screen too, and it would be nice to have it back!

I opened up the customize options, thinking maybe I just removed it by accident, but refresh doesn't appear to be an option?

I also opened it up in troubleshoot mode to see if that would change anything. It did not :(

I also don't have any extensions that mess with the toolbar, so I don't think that would be an issue (and troubleshoot mode should have disabled extensions anyway I think.)

I recently updated to 126.0.1 - no idea if that has anything to do with it, but this did happen right after the update.

There are a couple more people on here with the same question, and they all had easy solutions. I'm hoping I'm just not seeing a setting somewhere.

I looked through the help files but still have no formatting toolbar when trying to create my signature in order to format the font, color, ...etc. I set me messages to be sent in HTML and checked the box in Account Settings to use HTML too. I can type my signature content but there is no formatting bar at all. I'm using the TB new beta 60 version.

I just installed Thunderbird and only my name comes up in the "From" option when I write a message. I wish to add my wife's name so that she can send her own messages with her name. (The email address will be the same but the name in front of the email address will be hers.)

I was wondering if Thunderbird can play an mp3/wav song as the e-mail alert or is it restricted to just a maximum 5 second sound file? I installed Tonequilla and tried some of the sounds that came with that but TB would only play the smaller files so I am guessing there is a restriction. I am using TB v 52.7.0 in a linux environment but I have also have V 52.7.0 on a windows xp computer as well. You already know this but when you browse for sound files from within TB it does not recognize mp3 files only WAV and OGG the other aspect is that WAV files are enormous in comparison e.g in the attached image there is an extract from a song The Brightest Star. TB plays the OGG file but will not play the MP3 or the WAV and the WAV being uncompressed is significantly larger. I also installed Mailbox Alert, there is a Command feature in that and I was wondering if that can be programmed to launch and play an MP3 track as an alert although I would be at a loss as to what commands to put in there. Please look at the pictures: 1. the image "Thunderbird Address Book scrollbar is extremely narrow.png" shows the new Address Books scrollbar 2. the image "Example of normal width scrollbar.png" shows the scrollbar within a particular Address Book

I can't find anything in Thunderbird that will allow me to change this. The normal width scrollbar is probably set in Windows settings.

So i wanted to remove borderline between text bar and tab bar. After some googling i manege to do so by console(contl+shift+alt+i), in string "--tabs-navbar-separator-color: light-dark(rgba(0,0,0,.1), rgba(0,0,0,.3));" i change 3 to 0 and borderline gone. But every time i restart browser is all back. Is there any way to make it permanent ?

Ridiculous with the new update page saying " A browser that's truly yours My Firefox: More Speed, More Security, More Fun." WHEN YOU CANNOT TURN OFF THE IDIOTIC popup spam for the updates NOT EVEN GOOGLE CHROME DOES THAT. And ridiculous it has to LOAD THE UPDATE after restarting the browser lag time and IDIOTIC BRIGHT SCREEN FLASHING even if you have darkmode on, JESUS CHRIST this browser seems ridiculous and FAR WORSE THAN THE OTHERS WHEN EVEN CHROME IS BETTER with these settings and not being pointlessly ridiculous rofl. Hi, I've noticed an inconsistency when clicking on Web-based protocol handlers in Firefox on Windows. Specifically, when I click on a mailto protocol, such as "mailto:email@example.com," it directly opens my default email application without any confirmation prompt. However, when I click on any other protocol handler, a confirmation pop-up appears, asking me to confirm which application to use. I have attached an example of what I mean.

Is there a way to configure Firefox to always show a confirmation pop-up for all protocol handlers, including mailto links? I prefer to have the option to choose the application each time rather than automatically using the default one.

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me.
