How do I reopen or reset the option that allows me to view more than one open email account at a time?

In the past, I could open one email address, then jump to another email address, while not having to log in and out? I must have changes something? Once logged in to one email address, the other email addresses would rise up in the lower right corner to notify me I received a new email? How do I turn that back on?
