Since installing Firefox 4 beta (now up to 4.0b4... I cannot use Firefox- the screen greys out and I am unable to do anything but FORCE QUIT. I tried the profile.splite suggestion, still same problem.

I have been excited to move up to 4.x and ever since, it has crashed from the git-go. I have multiple tabs as homepage, and the three others seem to load, sometimes the first one does- but not before I cannot use the browser. I cannot input or use the mouse. The screen does not draw. It locks up. I used the profile.splite.old suggestion... same result.

Are you using a nightly build or a beta?
Did you create a new profile folder for that beta?

You can see the crash reports in the "Crash Reports" folder in the parent Firefox folder of your profile folder.

Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Open Containing folder
