Mail filters for custom headers like List-Unsubscribe, Authentication-Results or Received-SPF copying messages from IMAP accounts to Local Folders do not work on the Yahoo! IMAP account. For example:

But filter3.jpg works well: name="Inbox" enabled="yes" type="17" action="Copy to folder" actionValue="mailbox://nobody@Local%20Folders/Inbox" condition="OR (subject,doesn't contain,t[k\6iq69pd+}'cr)" (copies all remaining messages from IMAP folders to Inbox on Local Folders)

(the snippets above are fragments of the msgFilterRules.dat file)

Filters1 and 2 work well on other IMAP accouns, like for example wp.pl. So this is about Yahoo or something is corrupted. My question is, what wrong is here ? And by the way - how to create filter copying all messages from IMAP to Local Folders ? Is better way then filter3 looking for random string in the subject or somewhere else ? Thank you.

I use the filters in Thunderbird a lot, so I am familiar with the setup. I need to automatically forward a message to my wife if it comes in from a specific email address. I cannot see a way to do this. Is it possible?

The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.twc.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Running Thunderbird 128.14.0esr (64-bit) via 64 bit Win11 Pro v. 25H2 on a Dell Inspiron 16 plus, Core i7-12700H @ 2.3 GHz, 24 MB cache, 40 Gb RAM, 877 Gb free on a 1.8 Tb Crucial T710 NVMe SSD drive. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics using 20 Gb shared RAM.

I have 5 email accounts (AOL = Yahoo, Yahoo, GMail, Verizon = Yahoo & MSN) each with a distinct IMAP server description. I also had my daughter's AOL account in the same TB profile.

On 5/9/2026, I foolishly entered my credentials in an AOL request for verification of her account (to allow TB access). As result, my jawarters@aol.com account and her jmwarters@aol.com account somehow became linked. Her email account in TB now contained only messages which were duplicated in my email account.

I deleted her existing jmwarters@aol.com mailbox and attempted to recreate it in Account Settings. Despite entering distinct IMAP settings (user name = jawarters@aol.com, imap.aol.com, port 993 and user name = jmwarters@aol.com, imap.aol.com, port 993) and having distinct SMTP settings with the user name in the Description, the recreated account again downloaded my emails into her TB account. The same happened when I opened TB on my desktop.

Interestingly, TB for Android v. 18 kept both accounts separate. I attach a copy of the TB Android k9s settings file which shows the same IMAP and SMTP settings as the laptop / desktop TB.

Email will not send. Message-- "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Email rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again." I am not sending to another person but testing with my personal email. Thank you.

When I open Thunderbird email on my computer, it loads in my emails. These come from my Hostgator email server. The date and time of the emails show as the current date and time, not the actual date and time that the emails were received on the Hostgator server. For example, if an email was actually received on Hostgator 3 days ago at 5 pm. When I open Thunderbird at 9 am today, the date and time received will show today at 9 am. And nothing that I can see on the email that I have on my computer shows the actual receipt date. I have tried some things on my own, and I have chatted with AI and made some changes to what's showing on the headers. But nothing has worked to resolve the issue.

For some reason since reinstalling my Thunderbird every time I try to sen e-mail I get the error "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <SantoshS1@vbeyond.com>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied. Please check the message recipient "SantoshS1@vbeyond.com" and try again.

They are perfectly valid addresses, as they are generated using Reply. This did not happen before I was forced to reinstall from scratch. I suspect it may be some sort of issue with my account configuration in Thunderbird, as I had to recreate that.

On one of my accounts I have an enabled filter for incoming messages consisting of a Tag + Copy + Delete (see screenshot) When a new message arrives, the filter is executed TWICE (see screenshot of the log) , the copied message arrives TWICE at the destination (once tagged, once NOT tagged). In the deleted folder of the source there is only one message.

What might be gong on ? Why is the filter executed twice ?

PS : I also tried Tag + Move instead of Tag + Copy + Delete

Okay, so how to be simple. I kept getting a pop-up from Comcast about a latest promotion and it wouldn't go away. I spoke to Comcast about their ridiculous pop-up promotion, it was coming through my Thunderbird email client. That may be taken care of. But in the meantime I tried to delete my main Thunderbird account, I must have done so and now I can't get it back! I've tried everything! I was using an IMAP account, and for my incoming I had imap.comcast.net. For my outgoing I had stmp.comcast.net and the ports were 993 and 587 I believe. Please don't quote me on this. So when I try to create a new email account using the same information I keep getting an "Authorization Error" each and every time!

So....since and while writing this email, the Comcast pop-up continues to pop up, and I still cannot reset my email account. Talk about a frustration level at this point! I would like to keep my Thunderbird email account minus the stupid Comcast pop-up. I just don't know what to do. Please help from anyone who can!

Thunderbird Only Provides My E-Mails of the past two or three Weeks on my mobile phone and on my Laptop. Die Older Mails kann online be accesssed on the Vodafone Webpage. How can I synchronise My Account?

Hi. Since the last 2 updates, my Bell sympatico email through T-bird cannot SEND anymore emails (No errors are given but the email never comes through). I can receive emails without issue and when I use another tool (like Outlook or go directly through my browser, the sympatico emails come through) I attached the settings for the SMTP in a screenshot if that could help.

Any idea how to fix this?

Not sure what has happened to my PC but lost my Thunderbird app.

Reinstalled but cannot get my emails working again. I only get emails up to 13th May 2024; I guess when TSO Hosting finished?

I am now on 123 Hosting.

I have a note that SERVER for both i.e. Incoming and outgoing is:-

Where and in what format do I enter theses server details.

Sorry but I am confused; don't get old!

I can receive outlook e-mail but I cannot send from Thunderbird. I am asked for a password for the specific Microsoft server. I enter my Microsoft account password but this does not work. Security setting is STARTTLS withNormal Password authentification. My other Thunderbird non-MS e-mails are problem free.

Everything working just fine last night. Wake up and Thunderbird will not retrieve emails.

Remembered this old message I got so I went through and deleted my second email address, didn't help.

Checked all settings compared to Yahoo, still won't download messages. I can even send a message with my current settings no problem, and it does login, just won't retrieve emails. Gives me a connection timeout.

Anyone have any ideas?
