Add On Awesome screenshot does not store selected data since version 18.02 on W7, Vista & XP computers. It looks like it works down to last action of storing the selected data in Awesome screenshot, but after ´save data´the downloads window does not appear and the data is not stored and no error message. I have several computers here they all showed the same problem after upgrading to FF version 18.01 was executed. I downgraded to FF 17.0 (i did not have FF18.0 anymore) and Awesome screenshot worked normally again.

I tried to see what troubleshooting (below) would do, but as i have FF version 17.0 running now the info below is of no use, i guess.

The newest version of Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More (version 2.3.9) corrects that problem. The add-on page has not been updated by the add-on developer to show the latest version and automatic add-on update will not update to the new version - correcting that problem is the add-on developer's responsibility, not Mozilla's.

To get the new version 2.3.9, do one of the following:

NOTE: Even though this is supposed to be a "Restartless" add-on, I found it necessary to restart Firefox after the install.

You should check your Plugins and update as needed.

  1. Check your Plugins - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
  2. Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.5.8.612 (not the same as Flash/Adobe Flashplayer)
