How too change fron IE to Firefox on laptop--get 'access denied'. Went to default settings but they don't take. ????and default options won't "take"
Want to use Firefox browser.????? 5 yr old Inspiron. Windows XP Home. Installed Firefox latest version.
Try to open. Access denied (policy). Went to Programs/Default settings. Tried to turn off IE several ways. Response? You need to uninstall IE. Try to uninstall--warnings appear that my Service Packs all depend on IE to work properly. Anyone else out there that hates MS?
Thanks for your help.

try to set Firefox the default browser:

Maybe I wasn't clear. Firefox won't run. When I double click the Firefox icon, the text on the page says "Access denied-policy" The top left bar says: "Access denied-Mozilla Firefox".
