Can't locate my inbox folder for error The folder "inbox on [email address]' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."
Keep getting this message: "The folder "inbox on [email address]' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."
I have tons of space, but I don't know which folder you are referring me to. Does it have a name? Does it reside in a specific subfolder? Can you give me some hints to locate the folder? Is this really the problem, or does the message indicate something else is amiss.
Thanks, Don

OS? Thunder has 2 folders, one contains the program, other the individual data, like profiles which contain the maill folders. I run linux with a custom setup and don't have the windows folder structure off the top of my head. You can try and repair folders individually with thunderbird open - rt. click folder and click repair folder. No luck, come back...
Donald,
Please post to give us your current status and version number.
We had a bug which was fixed in 140.2.1esr (and release 142) - Bug 1959858 - Error message compacting non-empty folder - "The folder 'Inbox on something@xxxx.yyy' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."
