I have added my own categories in the Thunderbird Calendar New Event window, but I am unable to edit or delete either default or added categories in the list. How do I edit this list? NOTE: this is different than mail categories.

Are you editing them in Settings/Calendar? New, Edit and Delete is available for all categories.
