Thunderbird's new column headings are prettier, but each column now occupies an excessive amount of space.
The new column headings are now discrete bubbles, and look prettier than before, but the column contents beneath them have approximately 2-3 characters worth of white space on the left, thus making the column wider. The extra space seems to be used only in the "Subject" column, where the blue arrow (indicating there has been a reply, I believe) sometimes appears.

Does problem go away? If it does, your problem is a theme you have installed and you will want to contact the author
Tx for the quick response. Restarted TB in safe mode (and confirmed on the Add-ons page), and the issue remained. I am attaching an image of part of the headings in my Junk folder which I hope shows the issue. Said issue is not very important, but saving space is nearly always a good idea.
This sounds like an issue that may be fixed by beta, which can be found at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/
