I reinstalled windows 10 saved my profile file. I reinstalled thunderbird & it does not work.

I reinstalled windows 10 saved my profile file. I reinstalled Thunderbird & it does not work. I saved my profile & reinstalled Thunderbird & copied my profile over. Thunderbird still does not work. I have reinstalled Thunderbird & I still get the error message that the profile is missing.

Please explain what exactly you 'saved' and how.

I have reinstalled Thunderbird & I still get the error message that the profile is missing.

Please post the contents of the file profiles.ini.
