Sync is currently experiencing problems

In android,Sync is not working. I've paired successfully my device but then every time I try to sync IIreceive the message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" I've checked the sync servers and they are fine. IIonly have this version (the latest) of Firefox in my phone. Previous version was working, and beta and nightly weren't working neither. Thanks.

Hi.

Now Sync is working. Finally I've figured out what was happening. Viewing the saved passwords of the Desktop Firefox, I saw that the mozilla account's password had two strange symbols instead the letter "ñ" so I changed the pass for a new one without that letter and the synchronization started working in every device.

And that's all, an issue with the letter ñ when Firefox stores the password.

Regards.

Hi.

I've done the sync with the easy setup code and with the recovery key too. Both methods create the sync account succesfully and displays a message saying the data is downloading on the background, but no bookmark or password is loaded.

If I go to account in the phone and force to sync the account I receive the mentioned error.

The phone is a Galaxy Nexus running stock Android 4.0.4.

Thanks.

Hi suitchall, do you have multiple versions of Firefox installed on your Android device? We don't support multiple versions on Android yet. We're working on it -- you can follow at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=761206 .

If you can provide us with Android Sync logs, following the instructions at http://160.twinql.com/how-to-file-a-good-android-sync-bug , we can try to give you better support.

Hi nalexander.

I don't know if it's related but I had several versions of Firefox installed (Official, Beta and Nightly) but then I've uninstalled every of them, delete the sync account, reboot the phone and then reinstalled Firefox, so right now I only have the official version.

I'll try to get the sync logs to complete this information.

Thanks.

Hi suitchail, glad you got this working. We think we've addressed this issue; you can see the gory details at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=774300 but it should be coming to a Firefox near you soon. Thanks for your feedback!
