Cannot open Outlook Express

I cannot find a way to open my Outlook Express program on ff. Just signed up and can still run it with IE - is the problem that IE is default browser? Outlook is default email on OS and ff. Should I have a mail icon? When I click FILE-Send Link, OE pops up, but I can't access anything but a message window that way. 

  Please help - I really like Firefox, but this is driving me nuts!
